Oak Valley Center provides a minimum of 5 1/2 hours of academic instruction daily.  OVC  follows a 10-month school calendar that is similar, but not always identical, to Fairfax County Public Schools. In the case of inclement weather, Oak Valley Center will follow the dismissals, closings, and late openings for Fairfax County Public Schools. ESY (Extended School Year) is available by an IEP approval.
